DUSHANBE, October 20, Asia-Plus  — Sirojiddin Valiyev, head of Tojikmatlubot (Tajik consumers’ association) told a news conference in Dushanbe on October 19 that they intend to organize processing of wool.

“We do not yet have production potential to process leather but wool processing has always been traditional trade of our people,” the Tojikmatlubot head said.

According to him, they have already concluded an agreement with China on delivery of wool-processing equipment for a total amount of $3 million to Tajikistan.

The first bulk of the equipment will arrive in Tajikistan within the next few days, he said.
