DUSHANBE, October 29, Asia-Plus  — Assets of open joint-stock company OryonBonk, Tajikistan’s largest commercial bank, have increased 3.8 times in the year to October 1, 2007, reaching 1.5 billion somonis, Umed Davlatzod, the first deputy head of OryonBonk, said.

As of October 1 2007, OryonBonk’s regulative capital has amounted to 118.027 million somonis, which is 62,000 somonis more than in the same period of last year, the deputy head said.

“A total amount of deposits with fixed period has amounted 61.4 million somonis by October 1 2007,” said Davlatzod, “And a total number of depositors of the bank is now 3,336 people, which is 2.1 times more than last year.” 

The number of credit card holders among the OryonBonk customers is 5,000 people.

As of October 1 2007, a loan portfolio of OryonBonk has amounted to 405.301 million somonis, which is 1.7 times more than in the same period of last year.  Last year, OryonBonk provided loans for a total amount of 244 million somonis. 

Over the first nine months of this year, $255 million have been transferred via structures of OryonBonk, according to Davlatzod. 

On August 1 2007, a leasing company Oryonleasing was set up. An authorized capital stock of the company is 1 million somonis and it will offer leasing services to customers of OryonBonk in the near future.
