DUSHANBE, October 31, Asia-Plus  — A regional two-day conference on state-of-the-art technologies for the study of the English language, staged by the Ministry of Education (MoE), opens in Dushanbe tomorrow.   

Ms. Zulaykho Mazoriyeva, chairperson of the organizing committee for the conference, told Asia-Plus that the conference is held as part of the national program on improvement of the study of the Russian and English languages adopted in 2003.

According to her, the conference participants, who include some 60 specialists, mainly English teachers, will discuss issues related to seeking ways to improve the study of the English language.

She added the US Embassy in Dushanbe has provided assistance in holding the conference.  

They also plan to hold similar conference on the Russian language.
