DUSHANBE, November 5, Asia-Plus — In a message posted on his official website, President Emomali Rahmon has congratulated Tajikistan’s people on a Constitution Day, which is marked in the country on November 6.   

 In his message, the president noted that the country’s Constitution adopted in 1994 has created opportunities for constructing rule-of-law system and become a stable foundation for development of state, socioeconomic and political progress of the country. 

“The Constitution was adopted in the extremely complicated period of history of Tajikistan by means of referendum,” said the message,”Based on a will of the whole Tajik people, the Constitution has played a decisive role in protecting independence and determining foundations of the Tajik state and statehood of Tajiks.”    

In other words, the Constitution has created all necessary legal conditions to remove threats endangering the country’s independence and territorial integrity and opened way for reestablishing peace and stability in Tajikistan.  

“Today, we are at the stage of qualitatively new socioeconomic and creative development.  I hole with support and due to efforts of our diligent and notable people we will able to settle all the set tasks,” the message said.
