DUSHANBE, November 10, Asia-Plus  — A scientific conference dedicated to the 90th birthday of known Tajik scientist and writer Vohid Asrori was held at Tajik National University in Dushanbe on November 9.   

Tajik National University Chancellor Saidahmad Odinayev, Chairman the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament) on Science, Education, Culture and Youth Policy Dodokhudo Saymuddinov, Professor Ibrohim Usmonov, representative of the Tajik Diaspora in Canada Rustam Temirov, and other apprentices of the known Tajik scholar attended the conference. 

Professor Vohid Asrori was the first Dean of the Faculty of Journalism at Tajik National University and made considerable contribution to development of journalism in Tajikistan.   Professor Asrori’s library donated to the Faculty of Journalism numbers more than 5,000 books.
