DUSHANBE, November 26, Asia-Plus  — Capital mayor has reprimanded his deputies and other municipal officials for failure to take adequate preparations for winter.  

Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for Dushanbe mayor, told Asia-Plus that Dushanbe Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev held a meeting on November 26 to discuss a progress of preparations for the winter and construction work in Dushanbe.  

The mayor reprimanded his deputies Abdusattor Sulaymonov, Abdulhomid Sheraliyev, Sanovbar Rahimova and Jamshed Mansourov, as well as Dushanbe’s Sino district head Rahmatullo Tavarov and a number of other municipal officials for shortcomings in their work to ensure regular work of the city’s economy in autumn-winter 2007-2008, the spokesman said.      

According to him, the aforementioned people were warned that more strict measures would be taken against them if they fail to remove all shortcomings before December 15.   

The mayor also demanded at the meeting control of use of funds provided for construction should be tightened.
