DUSHANBE, November 28, Asia-Plus  — The lower house (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of the Tajik parliament (Majlisi Oli) has adopted a bill on the architectural, town-planning and construction activity at the first reading.  However parliamentarians have remitted it for three-month reviewing  as requiring improvement.  Safar Safarov, the First Deputy Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon, said that the bill will be published in parliament’s official paper Sadoi Mardum for discussing by the public and then will be submitted for the second reading.

A regular sitting of the fourth session of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the third convocation, presided over by its chairman, Saydullo Khairulloyev, was held on November 28.

Parliamentarians also considered and endorsed bills on land management, seed growing and fauna.  The new law “On Fauna” will replace the law “On use and Protection of Fauna,” which was adopted in 1994 already.

The lower house also considered and endorsed amendments to the law on holidays, as well as administrative and land codes.

The session also ratified a government-to-government agreement between Tajikistan and Azerbaijan on visa-free travel for citizens.
