DUSHANBE, November 29, Asia-Plus  — A ceremony of handover of special equipment to Tajik law enforcement dealing with combating drug-trafficking will be held in Dushanbe today afternoon.  

According to the main border directorate of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB), technical assistance provided by the European Union and the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) is intended for the main border directorate, ministry of interior, customs service, and drug control agency. 

The assistance includes special equipment and computers.    

As it had been reported earlier, a ceremony of handover of medical equipment to the central hospital of the main border troops directorate of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB) was held in Dushanbe yesterday.  The project was implemented under the Grant Assistance for Grass Roots Human Security Projects.  Grant provided for the project by the Government of Japan is $81,730.
