DUSHANBE, December 18, Asia-Plus — Dushanbe mayor’s office has announced a tender for a design of new North Gate of the Tajik capital.
Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor, said that the tender had been announced in connection with rehabilitation of the highway from Dushanbe to Khujand. The highway will be widened and the current North Gate of Dushanbe will be pulled down.
All works should be submitted to jury by January 5. 2008 and the competition results will be published on January 9, the spokesman said.
The competition winner will be given 3,000 somonis in prize money.
