DUSHANBE, December 24, Asia-Plus  — President Emomali Rahmon held a hook-up conference with participation of heads of Sughd’s Khujand, Isfara, Qairoqqum, Ayni, Asht, Bobojonghafurov, Ghonchi and Zafarobod on December 24, presidential press service said.  

The heads of town and district administrations of northern Tajikistan gave the president an account of the state of affairs by phone.  The participants of the conference mainly focused on improvement of settlements, renovation of schools, problems facing agrarian sector, including rehabilitation and creation of gardens and vineyards.

The president set specific tasks on taking efforts to ensure development of industrial and agrarian sectors and creation of new jobs in the province as well as administration of local budgets.

The heads of the mentioned town and district administrations were also charged to intensify work on providing assistance to the vulnerable sections of the population.
