DUSHANBE, January 2, Asia-Plus — Tajik border guars have warded off an attempt by Afghan drug traffickers to smuggle a large amount of drugs.
According to the main border directorate of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB), two Afghan drug traffickers were detained when they were illegally crossing the border river in area of Nizhny Panj, Khatlon’s Qumsangir district on the night of January-1-2. Two sub-machine-guns Kalashnikov and 60 kilograms of narcotics were confiscated from them.
