DUSHANBE, January 16 Asia-Plus — The Dushanbe emergency hospital will be the first in Tajikistan to introduce an automated control system, Jamshed Homidov, the deputy head physician for the automated control system said.
“We have already started the initial phase of introduction of the automated control system and it will be introduced into operation within the next few months,” Homidov said, noting that after introduction, the system will be constantly updated.
The automated control system is dedicated to make work of the hospital staff easier and more effective, according to him.
In the future, the system is expected to be introduced in all medical facilities of the country as well.
“Specialists are currently working on making an electronic map of Dushanbe and special equipment will be installed in ambulances to determine their location,” the deputy head physician said.
The automated control system is being introduced as part of the second phase of the emergency care rehabilitation program funded by the Saudi Fund for Development.
The program is supported through a loan agreement signed between the Government of Tajikistan and the Saudi Fund for Development.
The first phase, costing $4.880 million, was implemented in 2003. During the first phase, the Dushanbe emergency hospital was provided with 46 computers, with 25 of them being connected to Internet, and 13 ambulances, including three resuscitation ambulance vans.
The Capital emergency hospital now has 28 ambulances.
