DUSHANBE, January 17, Asia-Plus  — An award ceremony for the winners of the Third International Competition “Eurasia Social Portrait” will be held in Moscow on May 3, 2008.

An exhibition of photo and video materials will be a final of this competition organized among journalists by Eurasia Media Center, International Confederation of Journalists’ Unions and International TV and Radio Academy with support of UNSECO.

Photographs and video materials reflecting the present-day reality and actual social problems such as poverty, life of marginalized groups of population, problems of youth, street children and so forth will be put on display in the exhibition in Moscow. 

The main goal of the competition is to combine efforts of journalists to tackle social problems facing the countries of the region.          

 

            Journalists wanting to participate in the contest should send their works to the selection committee before April 10, 2008.
