DUSHANBE, January 29,  Asia-Plus — The first free economic zone (FEZ) is planned to be established this year in Nizhny Panj, Qumsangir district in Khatlon province, Economic Development and Trade Minister Ghulomjon Bobozoda announced at a press conference in Dushanbe on January 28.    

According to him, this project requires considerable funds, and therefore, it is necessary to arouse foreign investors’ interest and offer them more beneficial conditions of work than in other countries.    

The minister added that all necessary documents for establishment of FEZ in Khujand and one of Khatlon’s districts had already been prepared and work in that direction would start next year.
