DUSHANBE, January 31, Asia-Plus  – Open joint-stock company (OJSC) Orienbonk, Tajikistan’s largest commercial bank, reported that its net profit more than doubled in 2007 year on year, reaching more than 20.9 million somonis (equivalent to $6.0338 million).  

As of January 1, 2007, Orienbonk’s net profit had amounted to 9.7 million somonis (equivalent to some $2.8 million).  

A total capital of Orienbonk also doubled last year, reaching more than 156.9 million somonis ($45 million) against 72.9 million somonis ($29.029 million) reported in 2006. 

As of January 1, 2008, an authorized capital stock of Orienbonk has stood at 113.232 million somonis, which is 2.8 times more than in 2006. 

In 2007, Orienbonk’s loan investments amounted to 520.0573 million somonis, which is 271,617,241 somonis more than in 2006.

As of January 1, 2008, deposit accounts with Orienbonk have amounted to 1,443,015,200 somonis (equivalent to $416.1304 million).  As of January 1, 2007, deposit accounts with the bank had amounted to 589.4 million somonis ($169.9763 million).
