Tajikistan, Vietnam set up intergovernmental economic commission

            DUSHANBE, April 1, Asia-Plus  — Issues related to the establishment the Tajik-Vietnamese intergovernmental commission for trade and economic cooperation were discussed at a meeting of Tajik Agriculture Minister Qosim Qosimov with visiting Vietnam’s Deputy Industry and Trade Minister Li Zan Vin in Dushanbe on March 31.  

Hikmatullo Ghulomov, the head of department for international relations within the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA) said that the sides had agreed  to hold the first session of the Tajik-Vietnamese economic commission in the third quarter of this year in Hanoi, Vietnam.  

Mr. Li heading Vietnamese governmental delegation has been to Tajikistan since March 30.  The Vietnamese delegation has to date held a number of meetings with senior representatives from some Tajik ministries and organizations to discuss issues related to prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between the two countries.  Vietnamese delegation’s visit to Tajikistan is concluding on April 2.
