DUSHANBE, April 10, Asia-Plus — The radio station Imrouz (Today), founded by media holding Orieno-Media, has not aired since April 8.
The Imrouz managers say that the country’s radio-broadcasting told them that the air will not be available for them for two-three days “allegedly for technical problems.”
Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, Rustam Joni said that they are currently conducting negotiations with relevant bodies, including the state company Teleradiocom, which provides technical support to the radio station.
In the meantime, the source at Teleradiocom said that Imrouz is a private radio station and has nothing to do with Teleradiocom.
The radio station Imrouz went on the air in Dushanbe on August 9, 2007.
