DUSHANBE, April 10, Asia-Plus  — The Ministry of Health (MoH) has set up working groups to raise health lifestyle among the population of the country.

One of such groups led by Firouz Davlatov, the deputy head of the Republican Center for Sanitary-Epidemiologic Supervision, has met this week with residents of a number of districts in the Khatlon province.  

On April 8, the group visited the Muminobod district, where it held a number of consultative-instructive meetings with local residents in schools, mosques and some medical facilities to tell them about healthy lifestyle principles and measures to prevent spread of various infectious diseases.  

During their stay in Muminobod, the group members also visited the republican sanatorium for TB patients and the central district hospital, where they got acquainted with a progress of construction of two new departments – department of internal diseases and infectious diseases department.  These departments are being constructed under financial support of international organization CARITAS and expected to be officially opened in June this year.  

Yesterday, the group visited the Vose district, where it held similar meetings with local population.  

Another group led by Oktam Bobokhojayev, the head of the MoH medical services directorate, has worked in Khatlon’s Hamadoni districts.
