DUSHANBE, April 11, Asia-Plus – The first tons of early vegetable grown by Khatlon farmers have come to markets in Dushanbe and Qurghon Teppa.
The source at the Khatlon information-analytical department said that this year, early vegetables had been planted on 1,260 hectares in the province; of them, 616 hectares had been planted with tomatoes and cucumbers, 800 hectares had been planted with early onions, 51 hectares had been planted with strawberry, and 155 hectares had been planted with garlic.
According to him, the early vegetables have been planted mainly in Shahritus, Bokhtar and Vakhsh districts.
