Tojikgaz to install new gas meters in Dushanbe

DUSHANBE, April 19, Asia-Plus  — Tajikistan’s state natural-gas distributor, Tojikgaz, intends to install new gas meters in Dushanbe – Chinese-made IC card gas meters.   

According to the Tojikgaz head Fathiddin Muhsiddinov, the IC card gas meters will be installed in residential buildings free of charge.   

            “The price of such gas meter fluctuates from $60 to $70; however, according to Tojikgaz specialist’s estimates, expenses will be covered quickly due to systematic collection of funds from the public,” the Tojikgaz head said, adding that some 10,000 such gas meters will be installed in Dushanbe before the beginning of the heating season.
