KHUAJND, April 22, Asia-Plus — Farming units in the northern Sughd province have to date concluded loan agreements with banks and other investors for totaling some 84 million somonis, the Sughd governor Qohir Rasoulzoda announced at a press conference in Khujand on April 21.
According to him, a total amount of loan agreements concluded with banks has been 43.2 million somonis. As of April 4, banks have already provided 16.7 million somonis in loans to local cotton-growing farms, the governor said.
Besides, local farming units have also concluded loan agreements for 40.257 million somonis with other investors, Rasoulzoda said. Of this amount, investors have provided 8.119 million somonis so far.
