DUSHANBE, April 23, Asia-Plus — Officers from the Drug Control Agency (DCA) have detained a drug peddler at the Dushanbe airport who has been traveling to Moscow with drugs in his stomach, according to the DCA press service.
One of passengers on the flight from Dushanbe to Moscow, the 46-year-old resident of the Khatlon N., was detained yesterday on suspicion of having been involved in drug trafficking. He admitted that he had ingested 200 wraps of heroin weighing nearly one kilogram.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against him and an investigation is under.
