DUSHANBE, May 2, Asia-Plus  — Bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Vietnam in hydropower and housing was discussed at a meeting of Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi with Vietnamese Ambassador to Tajikistan Le Van Toan that was held in Dushanbe on April 30, the MFA information department said.   

In the course of the talks, the two, in particular, touched upon issues related to Vietnamese investors’ participation in implementation of various projects in Tajikistan as well as in an international consortium for completing construction of the Roghun hydroelectric power station (HPS).  

Zarifi and Le also considered the issue of simplified procedure of processing visas for citizens of both countries and visa-free regime for public servants and businesspeople.
