DUSHANBE, May 5, Asia-Plus — Ms. Khayri Jumayeva, resident of Khatlon’s Shahritus district, has been detained in Dushanbe on suspicion of having been involved in drug pushing, according to the Ministry of Interior (MoI). 

She was detained near the market Zarnisor in Dushanbe’s Zarafshon area yesterday.  Some two kilograms of heroin were confiscated from her, the source at a MoI said.

Criminal proceedings have bee instituted against Ms. Jumayeva under provisions of Article 200 (drug trafficking) of Tajikistan’s Criminal Penal and an investigation is under way.
