DUSHANBE, May 29, Asia-Plus — Short-length movies shot by Central Asian filmmakers will be demonstrated in Culture Center Bactria in Dushanbe today evening.
According to the Bactria Center, showing will consist of two parts: the first part includes selection of six young independent filmmakers from Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan; and in the second part, movies shot within the framework of the Mobile Movie project will be shown.
Spectators will see five short-length movies shot in Dushanbe by five young filmmakers from five different countries.
The Mobile Movie project has been launched to support young filmmakers and draw attention to cinema as full art.
In the meantime, the first festival “Echo of Kuhiston” will be held at the Bactria Center on Saturday. The festival is held under support of the Association for Development of Zarafshon Tourism and the Culture Center Bactria. An exhibition of handicraft wares will be held and documentaries and feature films will be shown during the festival.
