DUSHANBE, May 30, Asia-Plus  — In Dushanbe, the main festive activities to mark International Children’s Day will be held in the Children’s Park on June 1.  

Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the capital mayor, said that Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubadiulloyev signed an appropriate resolution on this subject on May 23. 

Fair of children’ handicrafts, drawing contest entitled “Me an My World”, various sports activities as well as concert program with participation of children’s music groups Gunchhoi Poytakht and Mehtariyon will be held in the park on Saturday.  

The International Children’s Protection Day is celebrated in numerous countries, usually (but not always) on June 1 each year.
