DUSHANBE, June 24, Asia-Plus — Net profit open joint-stock company Agroinvestbonk increased 1.7 times in the year to June 1, 2008, reaching 9.9449 million somonis (equivalent to little more than $816,000), according to Agroinvestbonk’s head office in Dushanbe.
The bank’s assets nearly doubled in the year to June 1, 2008, reaching 804.1 million somonis ($234.4 million), and Agroinvestbonk’s liabilities have increased over the report period 1.8 times, reaching 685.616 million somonis (equivalent to $199.9 million).
The bank’s regulative capital has also shown an upward tendency and increased from 58.9 million somonis on June 1, 2007 to 108.364 million somonis.
Founded in 1992, Agroinvestbonk, with headquarters in Dushanbe, has main branches in Khorog, Khujand, Kulob and Qurghon Teppa and 57 other branches across the country. Agroinvestbonk’s declared capital includes 270,000 shares, valued at 27 million somonis. The face value of one share is 100 somonis.
