DUSHANBE, August 6, Asia-Plus — The 7th session of the CIS interstate council for industrial safety will be held in Dushanbe from August 8-9.
Ms. Maria Gutsalo, a spokeswoman for the CIS Executive Committee, said that the session is expected to sum up the results of the Council’s work carried out in 2007-2008 and discuss further cooperation between the CIS states in this sphere.
The session will also discuss draft programs of measures to implement the concept of interaction between member nations of the Agreement of September 28, 2001 on securing industrial safety at production-risk facilities.
The session will also consider the results of the work of the council and considered the draft agreement on validity of the documents on training and vetting professionalism of the industrial safety personnel, the spokeswoman said.
We will recall that the 6th session of the CIS council for industrial safety was held at the resort town of Cholpon-Ata in Kyrgyzstan last year, on August 27-29. The session highlighted the results of the work of the council and considered the draft agreement on validity of the documents on training and vetting professionalism of the industrial safety personnel and discussed the creation of the database of legal and technical documents on industrial safety. The members of the council handled the issues on accident risk and production traumatism, elaborate the methods to improve the exchange of information and statistic materials on emergency situations at the objects under surveillance.
