DUSHANBE, August 12, 2008, Asia-Plus  — In accordance with the plan of actions on preparation of educational and medical facilities of Dushanbe for autumn-winter 2008-2009, all the Dushanbe medical facilities have been provided with electrical generators, Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor, said in an interview with Asia-Plus.

According to him, targeted use of electrical generators and provision of them with fuel were the focus of an August 11 meeting of the Dushanbe mayor’s office, presided over by its head, Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev.

During the meeting, the mayor noted that if budgets of Dushanbe’s districts do not have enough funds, the mayor’s office is ready to fund purchase of fuel for the generators.

Ubaidulloyev called on members of the legislature commission to regularly check and analyze reports by the municipal organizations on the results of work on preparations for the winter months.

The meeting also discussed issues related to water supply and the present sanitary-epidemiologic situation, the spokesman said.
