DUSHANBE, August 13, 2008, Asia-Plus  — An international youth design festival, entitled “Design 2008”, will be held in Dushanbe from September 17-19, Tajik Designers’ Union head Jamshed Ghaniyev said in an interview with Asia-Plus.

According to him, on the sidelines of the festival a contest will be held in the following nominations: dress modeling; interior design; photo; and jewelry.

“The festival is held to promote preservation of cultural diversity, development of national cultures, encouragement of intercultural dialogue and realization of creative abilities as well as opening of new talents,” Ghaniyev said.
