DUSHANBE, October 21, 2008, Asia-Plus  — Iran’s delegation led Habibulla Askaravladi, representative of Iran’s Supreme Leadership to Imam Khomeini Relief Committee (IKRC) also chairman of the IKRC central board, is arriving in Dushanbe today evening.

According to the IKRC Dushanbe, the purpose of the visit is for the Iranian delegation to greet 120 weddings that will simultaneously take place at the Kokhi Vahdat State Complex in Dushanbe tomorrow.

It is to be noted that young men and women that will simultaneously marry tomorrow are orphans or come from vulnerable or incomplete families.  Therefore, the ceremony is held under support of Iran’s charity.  The newlyweds will receive fridges, washing machines, sets of kitchenware and carpets as presents.

Senior representatives from Tajik Ministry of Labor and Social Protection will also participate in the newlyweds-greeting ceremony.        

During his visit to Tajikistan, Mr. Askaravaladi is scheduled to hold talks with Labor and Social Protection Minister Shukurjon Zuhurov, Deputy Prime Minister Ruqiya Qurbonova and Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament) Saydullo Khairulloyev.  On October 24, he will meet with President Emomali Rahmon. Issues related to mutually beneficial cooperation between Tajikistan and Iran within the framework of IKRC’s activities in Tajikistan will be major topics of the talks.
