DUSHANBE, December 5, 2008, Asia-Plus — During talks with President Viktor Yushchenko in Kiev on December 4, Emomali Rahmon invited him to pay a state visit to Tajikistan, according to presidential press service.
Speaking to reporters after the talks, Rahmon and Yushchenko expressed satisfaction with the present level of political cooperation between their countries and the results of the talks.
Yesterday, Rahmon, also held talks with Alexander Lavrinovich, Chairman of Verkhovna Rada (Ukraine’s parliament), ex-President Leonid Kuchma and teaching staff at Kiev National University, the press service said.
Today, President Rahmon is visiting the turbine-manufacturing plant, Turboatom, and some other enterprises in the Kharkov region.
