DUSHANBE, December 5, 2008, Asia-Plus — Tajikistan is the only country among the CIS states, where industrial production volumes have decreased this year.
According to the CIS Interstate Committee for Statistics, in Tajikistan, the industrial production volumes decreased 3.2 percent in the year to November 1, 2008.
In the meantime, in Belarus, the industrial production volumes have risen 12.8 percent over the report period. Belarus is followed by Kyrgyzstan with a 12.1 percent rise in industrial production volumes and Azerbaijan with 8.4 percent rise.
In Russia, the industrial production volumes rose 4.9 percent in the year to November 1, 2008, Armenia – 4.0 percent, Kazakhstan – 2.9 percent, and Moldova – 2.0 percent.
