DUSHANBE, December 10, 2008, Asia-Plus — As of December 1, 2008, a loan portfolio of open joint-stock company (OJSC) Orienbonk, which is one of Tajikistan’s largest financial institutions, has amounted to more than 632 million somoni (equivalent to more US$185 million), according to Orienbonk’s press service.
In the distribution cross section the proportions of enterprises in local currency were: private commercial enterprises – 78.99 percent; agricultural enterprises – 16.76 percent; state-owned enterprises – 0.49 percent; and physical entities – 3.76 percent.
In the distribution cross section the proportions of enterprises in foreign currencies were: private commercial enterprises – 52.13 percent; agricultural enterprises – 17.59 percent; state-owned enterprises – 30.12 percent; and physical entities – 0.16 percent.
We will recall that as of October 1, 2008, Orienbonk’s loan portfolio amounted to little more than 583 million somoni, equivalent to some 172 million US dollars).
