DUSHANBE, December 22, 2008, Asia-Plus  — Afghan Deputy Culture and Information Minister, Zohir Ravs, heading Afghan youth delegation, arrived in Dushanbe on December 21.

According to Hotam Fayzullo, a lead specialist with the department for international relations within the Committee for Youth, Sports and Tourism Affairs, the main purpose of the visit is for the Afghan delegation to get acquainted with activities of Tajik youth committee and youth NGOs in Tajikistan.

During its stay in Tajikistan, the Afghan youth delegation is also scheduled to visit the Tursunzoda district to hold talks with local youth.

The Afghan youth delegation’s visit to Tajikistan that will last till December 27 is expected to result in signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation between Tajikistan and Afghanistan in the fields of youth, sports and tourism affairs, Fayzullo said.
