In the meantime, representatives from Agroinvestbonk’s branch in Qurghon Teppa noted that the crisis has not had serious impact on its indicators. In January-November 2008, 117.1 million dollars have been remitted to it, which is $44 million more than in the same period of the previous year.
Even inconsiderable decrease in remittances reported in November did not resulted from the crisis, the source at Agroinvestbonk’s branch said. “It is a common occurrence that happens in November every year as labor migrants return home,” said the source, “We expect remittances to increase in late January and early February.”
