DUSHANBE, January 28, 2009, Asia-Plus — Assets of closed joint-stock company (CJSC) Bonki Rushdi Tojikiston (Tajikistan Development Bank or TDB) rose 210.1 percent in the year to December 31, 2008, reaching more than 98.6143 million somoni, according to TDB’s head office in Dushanbe.

Over the report period, the bank’s own capital rose 243.2 percent, reaching 60.4826 million somoni.  TDB’s profit rose 170.2 percent in the year to December 31, 2008, reaching 14.3944 million somoni.

In 2008, the bank’s loan portfolio amounted to more than 98.506 million somoni.

As of December 31, 2008, deposits of legal and physical entities in the Bonki Rushdi Tojikiston have amounted to more than 26 million somoni, which was 298 percent more than as of the same date of 2007, TDB’s head office said.
