DUSHANBE, February 10, 2009, Asia-Plus  — Yesterday, President Emomali Rahmon and his Latvian counterpart, President Valdis Zatlers, addressed the Tajik-Latvian business forum in Riga.

According to the source at president’s executive office, entrepreneurs of Tajikistan and Latvia participating at the forum reached a number of cooperation agreements.

Speaking at the forum, President Zatlers noted that Tajikistan would become reliable partner of Latvia in Central Asia and Latvia would become bridge for Tajikistan to Europe.

For his part, President Rahmon noted,”” You will open way to Europe for us and we will open way to Central and Southern Asia for you.”
