DUSHANBE, March 4, 2009, Asia-Plus  — A delegation of Tajik state air company, Tajik Air, is currently in Tashkent to discuss with Uzbek authorities issues related to resumption of air communication between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, Asia-Plus has learned from Nazira Davlatova, a spokeswoman for Tajik Air.

According to her, administration of Uzbek state air company has applied to Tajik Air, offering discussion of reopening of air service between the two countries.  Information about the visit results will be given later, the spokeswoman said.

We will recall that Uzbekistan closed air communication with Tajikistan in 1992.
