DUSHANBE, April 29, 2009, Asia-Plus  — Mexico is ready to launch enterprise for processing vegetables and fruits in Tajikistan, the source at the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA) said.

According to him, this issue was among major topics of a meeting of Deputy Agriculture Minister, Rahmonali Amirov, with visiting Mexico’s Ambassador to Tajikistan, Mr. Arturo Ernandes Basave, on April 27.

In the course of the talks, the two discussed the possibility of expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Mexico in the cotton sector, processing of vegetables and fruits and considered issues related to grain exports and imports.

During the meeting, Mexican diplomat, in particular, noted that his country had powerful textile factories producing cotton cloths and cotton fiber was imported from other countries.

At the end of the meeting, Mr. Basave noted that his country was ready to launch a shop for processing fruits and vegetables in Tajikistan, the source said.
