KHUJAND, May 25, 2009, Asia-Plus — Authorities of the northern city Taboshar have managed to create 67 new jobs for the city residents.






Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, the deputy mayor of Taboshar, Alimahmad Roziqov, said that 47 people had been placed in jobs in the sphere of commerce.

 

“They have received appropriate certificates for entrepreneurial activity,” he said.





25 other people have been placed in jobs in the system of housing and communal services.

 

They are currently working at various construction sites at an average monthly wage of up to 600 somoni.

 

They are repairing local culture center, stadium and department of store, the deputy mayor said.





According to him, local marble-processing workshop has also promised to create another 20 jobs.

 

“However, the city residents hope that launch of a Tajik-Russian joint venture at the Zarya Vostoka enterprise will help partially solve the unemployment problem in the city,” Roziqov said.

We will recall that the fourth meeting of the sub-commission for military and technical cooperation within the Tajik-Russian intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation was held in


Dushanbe


on November 12-13, 2008.

 

The meeting, in particular, considered the possibility of joint use of productive facilities of Zarya Vostoka for production, modernization, repair and utilization of products of military purpose.
