DUSHANBE, June 24, 2009, Asia-Plus  — An international exhibition of scientific achievements of Tajik and Iranian universities is expected to be held in Dushanbe on July 6-9, according to Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI).

Issues related to the exhibition were the focus of a meeting of its organizers that was held in Dushanbe on June 23.  The exhibition organizes are the ministries of education of the two countries.

The exhibition aims to promote expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation between Tajikistan and Iran in the field of education, exchange of experiences in the field of scientific achievements, familiarization with new developments in different sectors, participation in joint research projects, the CCI source said.

Members of the Iranian delegation participating at the meeting noted that more than 35 Iranian universities and five publishing centers would participate in the exhibition.

The meeting participants expressed hope that the exhibition would result in signing of a memorandum of cooperation between Tajikistan and Iran in the field of education and science.
