Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Ms. Larisa Kislyakova, noted that that the new registration system would be introduced in Tajikistan before 2011.  According to her, a total cost of this project is 2.5 million U.S. dollars and the project is expected to be repaid within three years.

The implementation of the new registration system under the OSS principle will simplify the registration process for entrepreneurs and give an additional impulse to economic reforms and development of business environment in Tajikistan, the deputy minister said.

She added that at the first stage, the registration of documents under the OSS principle would cost 10.00 to 20.00 U.S. dollars but then it would be lowered to 10.00 to 5.00 U.S. dollars.

Some specialists from a MEDT say the current registration process for Tajik entrepreneurs takes up to 30 working days, while the registration system under the OSS principle will allow reducing this period to 16 working days.
