DUSHANBE, October 27, 2009, Asia-Plus  — Reporters from the Kensington Press Center (Canada) have shot documentary in Tajikistan about the country’s achievements in combating drug trafficking, according to the Drug Control Agency (DCA) press service.

The main objective of the documentary is coverage of cooperation between the UNODC and Tajikistan’s counternarcotics agency.

Canadian reporters arrived in Tajikistan on October 19 and during their stay here, they got acquainted with activity of the Drug Control Agency (DCA), its forensic examination laboratory, storage for keeping confiscated narcotics and pretrial detention facility.  They also held talks with senior representatives of the counternarcotics agency and attended the last drug burning, when more than 500 kilograms of narcotics were burnt.

Canadian reporters also visited border areas in Gorno Badakhshan, Khatlon province and districts subordinate to the center and familiarized themselves with activity of the checkpoint Labi Jar.
