DUSHANBE, November 11, 2009, Asia-Plus — Russian President Dmitry Medvedev yesterday signed the law on ratification of an agreement on training of personnel for law enforcement, firefighting and emergency management agencies as well as special services of member nations of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), according to the Kremlin press service.
The document determines the procedure of training of personnel, conclusion of appropriate agreements between the services, recognition of documents of host country on graduation from educational institutions.
Under the agreement, personnel will be trained on the basis of payment and under quotas allotted by host country.
According to the CSTO press service, Uzbekistan signed the agreement with reservations, agreeing to organize training of personnel for law enforcement, firefighting and emergency management agencies as well as special services on bilateral basis.
