DUSHANBE, November 27, 2009, Asia-Plus  — The next drug burning took place at the Drug Control Agency (DCA) in Dushanbe today.

The DCA today burned some 88 kilograms of narcotics that were confiscated in the course of 2008-2009.

A totaled included 49 kilograms of heroin, 36 kilograms of hashish, 2 kilograms of cannabis and 62 grams of raw opium.  The drugs were material evidence for 27 criminal cases instituted against 30 persons.

The drugs were burnt in the presence of officers from law enforcement agencies and representatives form international organizations and media.
