DUSHANBE, December 4, 2009, Asia-Plus — A job fair that has been held in Dushanbe’s Shohmansour district today has offered some 2,000 jobs, Asia-Plus has learned from Safarali Hakimov, the director of the Dushanbe agency for social care, employment and migration.
According to him, some 44 enterprises and organizations of the city as well as companies dealing with external labor migration have participated at the fair.
According to data, of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, more than 88,000 new jobs have been created in the country since the beginning of this year.
Some 400 job fairs have been held in Tajikistan so far and 34,400 people have reportedly been placed in jobs at those fairs.
According to official figures, 44,600 unemployed persons have been registered in the country to this day.
