DUSHANBE, December 30, 2009, Asia-Plus — A convoy of more than 20 trucks loaded with a total of more than 50 tons of farm produce arrived at the site for construction of the Roghun hydroelectric power plant (HPP) yesterday afternoon.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA), agricultural goods worth 2.5-3 million somoni are being sold at the fair at the Roghun site at prices that are 30-40 percent lower than the current retail prices. “All kinds of farm produce, including meats, eggs, fruits, rice and others have been put on display at the fair,” Narzullo Dadaboyev, a spokesman for a MoA, said.
