DUSHANBE, January 23, 2010, Asia-Plus  — Dushanbe Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev sacked the city chief architect Sangahmad Tilloyev at a January 22 enlarged meeting of the Dushanbe mayor’s office reviewing the results of past year’s work.

According to the press service of the Dushanbe mayor’s office, Tilloyev was relieved of his post for shortcomings in his work.  Mahamdsho Ali, head of the inter-district enterprise for technical inventory, was also sacked for similar reason.

Besides, the head of the Dushanbe committee for environmental protection, Bahrom Mahmadulloyev, was asked to resign.

The mayor also harshly criticized and reprimanded heads of the majority of municipal organizations.  They were warned that more strict measures would be taken against them if they fail to put the situation right within the next three months.
