DUSHANBE, January 28, 2010, Asia-Plus  — The Drug Control Agency (DCA) plans to diversify tactics of fight against organized criminal drug-trafficking groups this year.

In a report released at a new conference in Dushanbe, the DCA director Rustam Nazarov noted on January 27 that the drug control officers will focus on discovering and confiscating financial and other incomes made through criminal actions.

“We will deal a blow to the economic component of these groups.  No finance no groups,” the drug control chief noted.

This year, DCA plans to complete the construction of its departments in Murgab and Ishakshim districts of Gorno Badakhshan, solve the issue of opening of the counternarcotics departments in Darvoz (Gorno BAdakhshan) and Jirgatol (district subordinate to the center) as well construction of the training center for drug detecting dogs.
